Abstract: “This paper examines the challenges of integrating sustainability into supply chains of small and medium size manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) in a developing country, Ghana. Lack of integration among supply chain partners, lack of commitment on the part of the suppliers limited access to capital, limited resources, and high cost of sustainability implementation are identified as some of the challenges facing SMEs. Education, effective collaboration and communication among supply chain partners are considered key activities that could enhance sustainability integration.”
