Abstract: “A further study is presented on developing a high - performance full - scale seismic damper, named Buckling Restrained Rippled Plate (BRRP) damper. BRRPs are to be installed at the edges of a girder - ty pe bridge, acting as energy dissipating seismic dampers for severe earthquakes. Cyclic loading tests have confirmed that the tested BRRPs perform well and fulfill specified performance requirements.”
