Abstract: “The paper examines the impact of human capital and Information Communications Technology (ICTs) in technological progress of Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC). Using the modified Nelson-Phelps framework, I estimate regressions based on panel data for the period 1950 to 2014. The estimation results show that together with ICT, human capital is of crucial importance in achieving convergence of CEEC with technology frontier.”
