Abstract: “The good economic growth of Indonesia has not yet been accompanied by a parallel development of infrastructure and institutional capacity on water resource management. A large number of the population still lacks access to safe water and most of the population in villages and remote areas still rely on potentially contaminated water sources. Out of 72.944 villages, only 7.474 villages have been intervened and supported to establish community based organization to manage local water supply services.
