1. USE OF A MONOCULAR VIDEO SEQUENCE FOR HUMAN BODY COMPONENT TRACKING AND OBJECT DETECTION

Abstract: Medical education plays a vital role in a country’s education system. Therefore, it is essential that a medical student be provided with a state-of-art education. Engaging with a realistic learning environment ensures an effective study and practice of disease diagnostics for a medical student, thereby enhancing the medical education system.As the practice followed in the medical field, diseases are determined initially by diagnosing abnormal heart and lung sounds. Thus, practicing such diagnostics requires a large pool of patients representing each disease which needs to be learnt. However, providing such a large number of patients for a classroom learning session is impractical. Finding patients with each disease which needs to be learnt is another challenge. Simulation based medical education has currently emerged to practice diagnostics via heart and lung sounds. 2. THINKING ALOUD METHOD TO EVALUATE THE USABILITY OF A NOWCASTING APP

Abstract: Brazilians have great interest in weather forecasting, be it a trip plan, physical activity, the clothes that will go in the day or just for an elevator talk. There are several institutions and applications in Brazil and in the world that carry out the weather forecast, one of them being the Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate Research (CPTEC/INPE). One of these applications is the SOS CHUVA, developed by CPTEC, which shows images of radar and satellite in order to assist society in decision-making. The main goal of this work is to show the usability assessment performed in the SOS CHUVA app,in order to understand what aspects and user interfaces need improvement, in order to provide an even better product to society. For this, a usability assessment was made using the Thinking Aloud methods and the heuristic evaluation with the 10 Nielsen heuristics. Results are considered satisfactory showing the need for in-app adjustments.

3. SEGMENTATION IN CHICKS IMAGE USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK

Abstract: This work proposal is for localization of suspicious noise in chicks images by selecting regions of interest. The presence of salt and pepper noise, speckle noise in an image becomes a difficult task to delimit a lesion. Some techniques of digital processing were applied in 100 chicks images in order to minimize the noise allowing posterior extraction of the contour. The segmentation techniques used to extract the contour was performed by means of the artificial neural network self-organizing map.The various metric evaluation were used to compare the proximity of the automatically obtained area with the manual outline of a animal husbandry, resulting in percent values of 93% to accuracy, 68% to sensitivity and 98% to positive predictive value.

Such type of hybrid system has zero environmental effects and also solve the fossil fuel energy crisis in every country.But in this type of hybrid system, temperature effects is one of the most significant parameters which directly influence the performance of the system. 6. DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION: AN EMPIRICAL INVESTIGATION IN SAUDI ARABIA

Abstract: This study will use the technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework; which has been broadly used to clarify how to adopt technological innovation from the standpoint of a business (Tornatzky and Fleischer, 1990; Wu and Chen, 2014) and integrating it with the TAM Model which is modified to incorporate two factors such as perceived usefulness and perceived of ease to TOE framework which recognizes three factors that influence an organization's implementation of technological innovations directly, and they are technological dimension,organizational dimension, and environmental dimension. 7. A TIME-SCALING DATA GENERATION METHOD FOR INTERNET OF THINGS SIMULATION

Abstract: Simulation plays an important role on studing the Internet of Things (IoT) traffic, which has an increasing impact on network infrastructures.The existing simulation tools and mechanisms on IoT mainly focus on simulating large-scale deployment of IoT and heterogeneous IoT applications. This paper concentrates on how to simulate the lengthy, burthty and multi-level time-scale IoT applications quickly. A time-scale data generation (TSDG) method is proposed to reduce the used simulation time of different IoT scenarios while keeping the real world characteristics of the IoT applications. Implementations of TSDG in ns-3 and simulation experiments of smart home and smart shopping centre are described in the paper. The evaluations results show that the proposed TSDG method can effectively reduce the time used to simulation IoT applications in ns-3 while reflect the IoT application traffic in the real world.

8. A SCALABLE DISTRIUBUTED LEDGER FOR INTERNET OF THINGS BASED ON EDGE COMPUTING

Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming necessities of peoples daily life and establishing itself as an essential part of future Internet. One of the challenges for using IoT is the security of data collected by trillions of IoT devices and used by millions of services. Distributed ledger technology (DLT) provides a distributed security method which can benefit IoT. Yet challenges are put forward when integrating DLT with IoT, such as scalability and heterogeneous capability of IoT devices. In this paper, we propose a mechanism for integrating DLT in IoT by using edge computing technology, taking the scalability and heterogeneous capability of IoT devices into consideration. IoT devices are clustered dynamically into groups based on various proximity context information. A cluster head is used to bridge the IoT devices with the blockchain network where smart contract is deployed. 9. PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF MIMO MOBILE UNDERWATER ACOUSTIC NETWORKS

Abstract: The paper considers the average frame error probability (FEP) of mobile underwater acoustic networks consisting of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) with multiple transmitters and receivers (MIMO). The MIMO AUVs utilize multihop transmissions to route the information through the network.It is based on a modified version of the reserve listen and go transmission protocol that incorporates request to send (RTS) and clear to send (CTS) messages before the transmission with the aim of reducing the impact of network interference.The mobility model is direction persistent. Each channel experiences frequency dependent path loss, Ricean fading and interference.Numerical examples illustrate the average route FEP performance.

10. A MAPPING AND SORTING HYBRID TECHNIQUE FOR COLOR IMAGE PALETTE EXTRACTION

Abstract: This paper introduces a hybrid computational technique that combines a vector to scalar mapping and single key numerical sorting to extract the color palette of an image coded in RGB (Red-Green-Blue) space. Thus a data set of color pixels in three dimensional integer space is mapped to an appropriate scalar data set that can be used to perform a fast numerical sort.The resulting ordered data set can be readily scanned to count all distinct colors and then remapped to its original dimensionality to obtain the image color palette.Explicit direct and inverse mappings are provided including several examples to illustrate the proposed mapping-sorting technique

Abstract: Business Process Reengineering provides an efficient and effective change in the way in which work is performed. During the traditional system development life cycle,there are some limitations within the system analysis stage such as poor communication and lack of a common language between the user and the analyst and between the analyst and the designer. To tackle this challenge, this paper presents an integrated methodology of Structural System Analysis and Information Technology.. The real data based on a case study at mix Grill restaurant in Irbid Jordan is collected then analyzed using the proposed technique to build data and process model. All results demonstrate that the proposed method is both effective and efficient for Business Process Re-Engineering.In fact, it can significantly enhance the business process and thus, gain and sustain the competitive advantage.
