3. EFFECTS OF ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE ON CULTURAL VALUE SHIFTS REDEFINING ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE THROUGH CORPORATE CHANGE MODELS

Authors: ANTONIO AMUZA , RADU FLOREA

Abstract: Corporate organizations represent the economic foundation of contemporary societies; they have great importance in the development and maintenance of countries that have a low or medium economic status to a sustainable level. The dependence of the Eastern European societies on Western corporations is becoming more and more visible due to the importance they have in the creation of new jobs and because of the economic growth they can guarantee. Organizations are steadily growing, creating new ways to optimize processes, increase satisfaction and improve procedures. Any development process is employed in the field of organizational change; but change does not only relate to development but also to culture shifts regarding smaller companies which are affiliated as corporate branches. This paper tries to encompass the effects that a takeover of a local company by a corporation may have on the way company values are perceived by employees, on the formation of a new organizational climate an

Abstract: The presence of second generation students, a structural element of the Italian school system, increased in school year 2013/14 and records an incidence of 9% of the total school population (Borrini, 2014), testifying a stable first generation of migrants’ settlement in Italy. The aim of this study was to explore the representational framework that a group of second generation students has on: quality of integration processes; heritage and Italian culture; some identity and group dimensions. Results seem to delineate a moderate orientation to biculturalism.

5. THE IMPACT OF TAX INCENTIVES ON THE PROCESS OF INNOVATION CREATION IN POLISH ECONOMY

Authors: ANNA WILDOWICZ-GIEGIEL , R. DZIEMIANOWICZ

Abstract: The effective implementation of fiscal instruments in innovation policy, can help countries to achieve sustained economic growth and improve their competitiveness. In case of Poland, the lack of fiscal incentives which could increase business sector’s propensity to invest in R&D and encourage greater cooperation in the area of research and innovation, appears to be the serious hindrance in narrowing the technology gap in comparison to the most innovative economies. The paper analyzes the most popular types of R&D tax incentives, taking into account their effectiveness, such as tax credits, enhanced allowances, accelerated depreciation or preferential tax rates. The results of conducted analysis reveal that the existing fiscal incentives in Poland encourage only imitation or are directed to the selected entities. The Polish model of R&D financing is based mainly on state subsidies and structural funds, however following the solutions of more experienced countries, there is an urgent nee

Authors: ALI RAZA , IKHTIAR KHAN , NASRULLAH KHAN

Abstract: The present and future of an organization can be defined in term of viability, sustainability and continuous progress. These terms depends on manager’s role. The criticality of manager’s role can further increase by the tough competition that most organizations have in today’s business. To handle the complexity of manager selection process , this study proposes an MCDM decision making framework to model relative preferences of different manager characteristics by applying network approach. The framework consists of different layers where criteria and alternates can be specified. The network approach increases the relative preferences among different criteria.

9. MIRROR,MIRROR ON THE WALL IT‟S ACTUALLY ME IN ONE AND ALL…

Authors: MANSI KAPOOR

Abstract: The paper picks on two high profile leaders Rajat Gupta , ex Managing Partner of McKinsy and Rob Diamond, the ex CEO of Barclays and traces the rise and fall of these stalwarts . Their narratives are considered as powerful indicators of greater systemic flaws and not as isolated cases of greed and corruption. The paper attempts to make a point that the corruption, greed, inequality, violence that we see around us is extreme manifestations of our own lives and the choices we make. In a world that has been rendered fragile on the one hand and dangerous on the other is in dire need of a new way of thinking. New leadership will ultimately evolve from people and so it is imperative that people change first. Minds have been used to the extent to which everything has been rendered meaningless, the heart so much for the sake of the self only to find desperate loneliness. It’s time to acknowledge the presence of a soul, to move towards higher aspirations.

11. PERSONALITY TRAITS, SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE, SOCIAL SUPPORT AND JUVENILE DELINQUENCY

Authors: VESNA JUG

Abstract: In present research the author examined the relationship between personality dimensions, social intelligence, level of social support, and juvenile delinquency. She used personality questionnaire BFI, scale of social intelligence TSIS, scale of social support CASSS, and self-report delinquency scale SLP on a sample of 264 adolescents aged 14 to 20 years. The author found out that extraversion and neuroticism do not connect importantly with the juvenile delinquency; pleasantness and conscientiousness significantly negatively predict the level of juvenile delinquency, processing of social information as one of the dimensions of social intelligence positively predicts juvenile delinquency, on the other hand, social awareness is negatively associated with delinquent behavior. Social support from significant people, especially parents and good friends, negatively predicts juvenile delinquency.

12. PREDICTING ELECTORAL BEHAVIOUR IN TURBULENT TIMES: THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY CASE (SPAIN

Authors: E. DE LA POZA , ANTONETTE LAZARO DUNGCA , JENNIFER OCAMPO GONZALES

Abstract: Lack of recovery of unemployment, more taxes, deterioration of the welfare system, high level of corruption and public debt, and lack of confidence in the Government’s labour are driving a large proportion of the electoral register to support new emergent political parties. In this paper we construct a mathematical model to quantify this electoral change in the Valencian Community. By using a population model and splitting electoral options into five main categories, we modelled the dynamic transits among electoral choices by quantifying the expected electoral support scenario in the Valencian Community for the next local elections.

13. ETHICAL APPROACH TO CORPORATE REDUNDANCY PROCESSES

Authors: JUAN IGNACIO MARTIN-CASTILLA , PATRICIA RUIZ-MARTIN

Abstract: This study is an attempt to define an illustrative path for a holistic cognitive exploration in a structured and systematic manner of redundancy process from an ethical approach. The systematic approach tries to make the organization aware of the different possible impacts on people along the whole restructuring process. As a consequence, this research is focused on the conceptual analysis of the different possible ethical considerations throughout the sequential stages within a prototype redundancy process. The findings are the result of logical qualitative analysis through twenty seven in-depth interviews: to people facing redundancy, Human Resources Managers and remaining employees of three different multinational companies. Additionally there was carried out three focus groups, as well as the revision of academic literature. This article shows that the ethical character of an organization represents the best perspective for an optimum interpretation within a realistic context, expl

14. NOSTALGIC CONSUMPTION VIEW FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF NATURAL / GENUINE /AUTHENTIQUE CONSUMPTION

Authors: ANTONIO AMUZA , RADU FLOREA

Abstract: Lack of products and brands left deep scars in the collective memory of Romanians, especially when we take into consideration their access to objects, products and even brands, before the revolution of 1989. After this moment in Romanian economical history, the scarcity or the lack of access to goods had to be reinvented in a different world, an abundant one. All of these because the market was perceived as a place filled with copiousness in terms of products, goods, brands, services and other opportunities. But, even if the load of scarcity was important, back in 1989, Romanians spoiled themselves with certain products (brands) before revolution, not necessarily better than those which are present on the shelves today, but rarer than those they were used to. With all these things in mind, the present study aims to explore how nostalgia actually is influenced by the complete moment experience of those who are old enough to experience both 1989 consumption and nowadays consumption.
