2. POST-ACCIDENT LOAD CARRYING PERFORMANCE OF A DEFORMED HATCH COVER

Authors: OZLEM CAVDAR

Abstract: Evaluation of load carrying performance of damaged structures after accidents is a vital issue for safety concerns. The aim of this study is to investigate the post-accident behaviour of a deformed hatch cover, while comparing the influence of different damage modelling techniques on results and verifying capabilities of an engineering environment for this task. To achieve that, impact load due to a dropped object is analysed as the realistic damage simulation, then the deformed geometry and the residual stresses are transferred to further analyses to assess the performance of the hatch cover under the applied lateral load. The results are compared to the results of the intact structure and the conventionally damage modelled structure. Finally, this study demonstrates the importance of accurate and realistic damage modelling and it is possible to use a single engineering environment for a practical and accurate post-accident evaluation.

4. CONTROL MEASUREMENTS OF SEISMIC EFFECTS OF BLASTING WITH AN-FO EXPLOSIVE

Authors: VINKO SKRLEC , ANA PINTERA , SINISA STANKOVIC

Abstract: Blasting is a set of complex actions for which, in addition to proper calculations and methodology, safety is most important factor. Safety and accuracy increase can be determined from previous blasts in similar environments, but even one parameter changes, it is very important to achieve the optimal conditions thru control measurements. The seismic impact of blasting is a very important part when designing a blasting works. The basic parameter on which further activity is based during the calculation is the oscillation velocity. With the increasing expansion of cities and settlements, there is a need for increasingly demanding blasting that takes place near inhabited facilities. To accurately determine the impact and permissible charge weight per delay that will not damage surrounding structures, various control and testing methods are used. To achieve accurate results, we need as many control measurements as possible and thus show that blasting and all accompanying activities can be

7. EFFECTS OF METALS FROM OIL TO POLLUTED SOIL

Authors: ANCAELENA ELIZA STERPU , MARIUS BANICA , OLGA VALERICA SAPUNARU

Abstract: Oil pollution of extraction areas is an undesirable phenomenon, but is very present, especially in old farms area.In the context in which the depollution of these areas, in Romania, is carried out from public funds, this fact is more and more difficult to achieve. That is why the effect of pollutants on the environment is being analyzed more and more, it often remains that the depollution is done naturally. This material analyzes the effect of metals present in crude oil(Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag, Ni, Mn, As, Cd, V, Cr, S), on the soil affected by a historical accidental pollution in the Moinesti area, Romania. This article presents the results of analyzes performed by metal detection techniques, namely optical emission spectrophotometry with inductive coupled plasma and atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The metals determined in the polluted soil were statistically analyzed regarding the dispersion, standard deviation and coefficient of variation compared to the control sample and compared with

8. PHYLOSOPY REHABILITATION OF DANUBE CROASING PIPELINES

Authors: MARIUS BANICA , ROBERT VLADESCU

Abstract: After 100 years of exploitation of crude oil deposits in Romania, in 1967, the communist government decides to supply fuel demand by importing crude oil from Iran. The imported crude oil was wanted to be petrochemically processed in two refineries, Arpechim Pitesti and Petrotel Ploiesti. In order to ensure the transport of crude oil from the port of Constanta to the two refineries, a pipe with a diameter of 350 mm was built. As Iran had entered into an embargo and crude oil could no longer be imported from that area, it was decided to import REBCO crude oil (Rusian export blend crude oil). The most difficult stage in the pipeline installation program was the crossing of the Danube. The Danube River and the Borcea Branch had a length of 2km and 1.6 km, respectively, and a depth between 2 m and 8m.Also the speed of the water made it impossible to deposit sand and alluvium on the bottom of the water (which consisted of limestone and stratified sands). The crossing of the Danube river repr

Authors: LOGAN NAYAR , MOHAMMAD AKTARUZZAMAN KHAN

Abstract: To ensure the growth of a business, service providers should understand and evaluate the importance of service quality and patients satisfaction. Service quality is understood as the extent to which consumers' pre-consumption expectations of quality are confirmed or disconfirmed by their actual perceptions of the service experience. Patient satisfaction could influence a patient's decision to visit a dentist, schedule and maintain visits, and follow dentist's instructions. The main purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between service quality and patients satisfaction on private dental clinics in Klang Valley, Malaysia. The five SERVQUAL dimensions of service quality were used to observe how patients feel about the service quality and how it can influence patient satisfaction. A set of questionnaire was developed according to the SERVQUAL instrument and distributed using the Google Forms platform. The link to the questionnaire was shared to five (5) private dental clin

Authors: Csilla Toth, , Leticia Pekk

Abstract: Term of innovation ecosystem might include various types of players in a localized area. The current paper analyzed park-like innovation ecosystems in Hungary with the purpose of defining characteristic pattern from the main business indicators point of view. Thus, the aim of the research is to explore apparent aggregated performance characteristics of ecosystems by empirical examination of different ecosystems. The conclusions reached as a result of the study different patterns identified along the lines of the three indicators of business effectiveness within the ecosystem: the average increase in turnover, the average increase in financial results and the average change in headcount. On one hand, these aggregated indicators are usable to characterize the various group of ecosystems. Additionally, this approach is feasible to describe not only the sustainability of an ecosystem but also offer an attribute on the development strategy. As a result of this research, the outlined quantit
