1. SIMULATION BASED ANALYSIS OF RESONANT BEHAVIOR OF SPLIT-RING RESONATOR DUE TO FLOWING POLAR LIQUIDS

Abstract: In this research a novel mechanism is being presented which was devised to analyze the effects on resonant behavior of a non-planar split-ring resonator due to flowing polar liquids. Shifts in resonant behaviors have been observed when materials are placed in the gap of a split-ring resonator due to perturbation of electromagnetic fields. However, such study has been organized for materials under static conditions. For such study on liquids, these are contained in micro-capillary tubes and placed in resonator gap. Present work has been organized to perform sensitivity analysis of resonant behavior due to flowing polar liquids through resonator gap. For depicting flowing liquid through a micro-capillary tube, different column lengths of liquids (inside the tube) were placed in resonator gap. 2. EVALUATION OF THE MULTI-SCALE FEATURE OF POINT CLOUD FOR UNDERWATER OBJECT RECOGNITION

Abstract: In this paper, we evaluate the multi-scale PCA feature characteristics of point cloud and apply the feature in the underwater object recognition task. We analyses the raw point cloud from ModelNet database and compare the multi-scale feature among interested category. We also device the underwater experiment to evaluate the proposed algorithm. The result of experiment demonstrate the potential of multi-scale PCA feature in underwater object recognition task.

4. OPTIMIZATION OF ENERGY SAVING CONTROL FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM IN DATA CENTER

Abstract: A multi-objective optimization scheme is proposed for energy saving control of both chillers and air handling units (AHUs). The control scheme also maintains rack intake temperature within a specified range. The non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) is utilized to solve the multi-objective optimization problem. In order for every chromosome of NSGA-II to calculate the fitness functions which are both total power of chillers and deviations of AHU outlet cold air temperature from specified range, neural network models are used to model the power consumptions of chillers and AHUs as well as the AHU outlet cold air temperature

5. MICROWAVE PHOTONICS AND FIBER-WIRELESS INTERFACE-A PRINCIPAL APPROACHES TO DESIGN MILLIMETER-WAVE NETWORK EQUIPMENT FOR THE NEXT-GENERATION WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

Abstract: Significant milestones in the way to transform 4G LTE to 5G NR are analyzed in detail. It is shown that a number of the important tasks can be successfully implemented by a microwave photonic or/and millimeter-wave photonic approach to design network and terminal radio equipment. Short descriptions of microwave photonics as an interdisciplinary scientific and technological field, classification of the key elements and devices, and typical layouts of microwave-photonics-based radio-frequency transmitter and receiver units are highlighted. A version of cost- and power-efficient 5G remote station based on millimeter-wave photonic approach is proposed and discussed. As an application example, 5G fiber-wireless network for a regional-level area is design.

6. A NEW CROSS LAYER MECHANISM TO SECURE AOMDV AGAINST THE BLACK-HOLE ATTACK

Abstract: Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) are a set of mobile nodes that communicate with each other within a common wireless media without the presence of a predefined infrastructure or a central control authority. The absence of preexisting infrastructure is the characteristic that make them ideal for different applications as the military applications. Ad hoc networks rely on routing protocols that are used by nodes to find and maintain routes. AOMDV is one of the well-known multi path routing protocols designed to this kind of networks. AOMDV is vulnerable to different attacks as the black hole attack like any other wireless routing protocol. Black-hole is a network layer attack that deteriorates network performance by capturing data traffic of neighboring nodes and then dropping all received packets. 7. AN E-CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM-EASYCHAIR

Abstract: The organizing process of International academic conferences consists of very time consuming and full of paper work for event handling such as Call for papers, submission of papers by authors, review process, registration process of author and general participants. Currently, there are several systems in use to support paper submissions to academic conferences, but they still require program chairs to spend a lot of time in organizing papers. Not only program chairs, authors and reviewers also facing difficulties to send their papers. To further improve the situation and reduce the burden of the chairs, and authors an e-conference management system is desirable. My research presented in this paper is part of the effort toward realizing such an e-conference management system called as EasyChair.

8. A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF HAIRPIN RESONATOR AND SPLIT CUBOID RESONATOR

Abstract: In this study, an optimum design of hairpin resonator is being proposed. Design has been optimized by changing dimensions of a basic hairpin resonator in a manner so as to increase its sensitivity. Simulation in HFSS software was done to study effects on resonant frequency and quality factor with varying resonator dimensions. Three different polar liquids i.e distilled water, methanol and dimethyl sulfoxide, are used for sensitivity analysis. Introduction of these liquids into resonator gap results in perturbation of electric field. Shift in resonant parameters and their sensitivities is observed for these resonators with these liquids. The design in which maximum shift is obtained in these parameters was considered as optimized design. Optimized design resembled a cuboid with a split. This novel design is referred as split cuboid resonator. Results of both resonators are compared for validation of concept.

9. MULTIPLE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND BURST TIME PREDICTION USING DEEP REINFORCEMENT LEARNING

Abstract: Resource management and job scheduling are two problems that go hand-in-hand and the solutions to which are primarily dependent on the nature of workload. With increasing demand to automate the entire process from allocating resources to scheduling jobs efficiently, deep reinforcement learning techniques have been brought into the picture which adapt to the environment and learn from experience. In this paper, we present SchedQRM which classifies burst time of jobs based on their signature and employs Deep Q-Network algorithm to find an optimal solution for any arbitrary job set. We also evaluate our proposed work against state-of-the-art heuristics to show the efficacy of our approach.

10. SOLITON SOLUTIONS OF SCHRODINGE EQUATION WITH QUADRATIC CUBIC NON LINEARITY AND ITS STABILITY

Abstract: The resonant nonlinear Schrodinger equa-tion (NLSE) having quadratic-cubic nonlinearity for describ-ing pulse phenomena and studied in nonlinear optics. We achieved optical soliton and solitary wave solutions of reso-nant NLSE with quadratic-cubic nonlinearity by employing extended simple equation method, which have key applica-tions in engineering and applied physics. The stability of model is examined by employing the modulation instability analysis, which shows that the obtained exact solutions are stable. We also given the movement of some achieved solu-tions graphically, which facilitates to recognize the physical phenomena s of this nonlinear model.

11. ADOPTION OF FORMAL METHODS IN THE COMMERICAL WORLD

Abstract: There have been numerous studies on formal methods but yet there is diminutive utilization of formal methods in the commercial world. This can be attributed to many factors such as that few specialists know how to use Formal Methods (FMs) and also the use of mathematical notation gives a perception that formal methods are hard. FMs have been used in the software development world since 1940 during the earliest stage of computer development. To date there is a slow adoption of FMs and they are used mostly in mission critical projects such as in the military and aviation. 12. MULTIMODAL BIOMETRIC SYSTEM FOR VOTERS VERIFICATION IN AN ELECTIONEERING PROCESS

Abstract: Electioneering process in many developing countries results in election frauds such as double registration, ballot stuffing, under-age voting and other forms of election drawbacks during registration of voters and casting of votes by eligible voters. In some developing countries, electronic biometric registration and verification system have been introduced during the registration and verification of voters. In many cases, some of the genuine registered voters were not recognized by the biometric machine. However, the rules and regulations pertaining to the elections stipulated that a voter would not be allowed to vote until he/she had been registered and verified.
