1. THE PERCEPTION OF THE ELITES ON HOW CCM IS WORTHY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TANZANIA

Abstract: The perception of the people on various ruling political parties in the world is critical to the government in power and to the running opposition political parties in the same territory. Elections, all over the world, have been kept as a mandate that give political power to most political parties. Indeed, we have many studies on governance and even on elections, but we do have few researches that assess the acceptability of the ruling political parties in our countries. 2. PROFITABILITY AND BANK STABILITY: EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE IN VIET NAM

Abstract: Through the secondary data collected from 2014 to 2019, the research used Pool OLS, FEM, REM and GMM methods to test the impact of profitability on stability of Vietnam commercial bank system. The results show that profitability impact on Vietnam bank stability with high significant, in which liquidity, capital ratio, efficiency ratio, bank size have positive impact on profitability with a high significant. Non-performing loans have negative impact on profitability with a high significant on profitability. The results also show that bank size and capital ratio have a positive impact on bank stability with a high significant while credit risk have a negative relationship with bank stability. From the results obtained, the research proposed solutions for bank management strategy.

3. ICT, HUMAN CAPITAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRESS OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

Abstract: The paper examines the impact of human capital and Information Communications Technology (ICTs) in technological progress of Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC). Using the modified Nelson-Phelps framework, I estimate regressions based on panel data for the period 1950 to 2014. The estimation results show that together with ICT, human capital is of crucial importance in achieving convergence of CEEC with technology frontier.

4. A BASIC STUDY ON MERCHANDISERS MENTAL FACTORS FOR CHOOSING PAYMENT METHODS

Abstract: Visiting market stalls is a popular activity for tourists who visit Japan. Many tourists enjoy market stalls in several events, called Matsuri. Meanwhile, it is said that Japanese prefer to use cash for shopping. Generally, many small shops do not have equipment for cashless payments. In many cases, market stalls also accept only cash. Therefore, we cannot use other methods for payments, and it inconveniences tourists from overseas. Recently, Japanese government is carrying out policy measures required for promoting cashless payments. However, it is not so popular yet in Japan. In this paper, a model of merchandisers’ mental factors for choosing payment method is proposed in order to investigate the reasons. The model has been developed by means of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on the UTAUT model. In order to investigate the validity of the model, an experiment has been conducted. As the result, it became clear that the basic idea of the proposed model is acceptable.

Abstract: In the last three decades, tremendous developments have taken place in the healthcare and education sectors all over the world. It is not an exaggeration to say that these are truly breathtaking. Undoubtedly, the march of technology and the influence it weeds over our daily lives are responsible for this. For every country, health and education are vital segments in government spending. No nation, democratic or otherwise, can afford to neglect these and a welfare state must necessarily focus on these. What is more significant is that the two segments are interdependent. This paper attempts to put the spotlight on the influence of technology over the healthcare and education sectors, and describes its impact on the daily lives of people. the interplay between the two is also highlighted.

9. SEASONED EQUITY OFFERING IN THAILAND

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the optimal fund raising strategy through equity issuance in Thailand. Contrary to the Pecking Order Theory suggesting raising funds from firm’s retained earnings as the first source, following by debt, and lastly issuing equities, there exist more than 2,700 seasoned equity offering (SEO) events during 1999 to 2014 in Thailand; all of data used for this research is acquired from SETSMART database. Moreover, the trend has been increasing substantially in the past 5 years. Key main sectors issuing stocks are property and construction (27%), services (16%), industrials (11%) and financials (10%). Previous researches found a negative stock return from SEO. It is therefore interesting to explore why many firms still issue stocks to raise capital.
