Abstract: or the past decade, only few studies have explored t he augmented reality (AR) technology to engage with the innovative and critical thinking in the educational research area. It might be beneficial for low - achievement students to enhance their learning skills via combination of AR technology and experiment al critical thinking. In this study we employ the saponification to show the benefits of the combination. During the saponification, some potential hazards and dangers exists in chemical reactions, especially for those low - achievement students. 5. FULL-SCALE BRRP SEISMIC DAMPERS

Abstract: A further study is presented on developing a high - performance full - scale seismic damper, named Buckling Restrained Rippled Plate (BRRP) damper. BRRPs are to be installed at the edges of a girder - ty pe bridge, acting as energy dissipating seismic dampers for severe earthquakes. Cyclic loading tests have confirmed that the tested BRRPs perform well and fulfill specified performance requirements.

6. ENHANCING THE IOT EFFICIENCY USING MILLIMETER WAVE IN 5G SIMULATION ENVIRONMENT AND ITS COMPARISON WITH REAL 3G AND 4G ENVIRONMENT

Abstract: The enhancement of environmental connection of things through the internet is based on the efficiency of the cellular network and how much it can serve massive amount of devices. The roll of previous cellular network s in the Inter net of Things (IoT) trend ser ves a small number of devices with limited data rates, insufficient delay and large percentage of packet loss. In this research the aim is to measure the efficiency of a real test of an IoT environment using 3G and 4G cellular network sequentially, and als o testing the same network in a simulative environment and compare the outputs to the real test outputs measuring the accuracy of the simulation, then also to examine a 5G network based on the millimeter wave (mmWave) and directional antennas, from this po int we can analyze the efficiency of the 5G network based on the accuracy of the simulation. Abstract: Studies show that, the wireless network is not precisely secured therefore security protocols must be implemented. In this research Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS) protocol was used to have secured wireless network with approximately or exactly s ame performance of wired network. In secured wireless network the unsecured wireless ne twork packets were taken to be simulated in NS2 by adding the Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS) protocol using Wi - Fi Protected Access (WPA), and then the secured wireless network was implemented in reality. The accuracy between the simulated and actual production obtained was 100% for packet loss, 99.998915 % for average delay and 99.999944% for throughput. Finally, the throughput accuracy between wired and secured wireless network is 77.585955% in reality.

Due to the nature of the cellular system where areas are divided into cells that have limited capacity, some area s might have larger populations causing the full utilization (congestion) of the cell whereas other areas might be serving a far less user base leading to the underutilization of the cell meaning that the overall system isn’t utilized properly. 10. TRANSLATING ARABIC SIGN LANGUAGE (ARSL) TO TEXT USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS

Abstract: A communication gap exists between the hearing and hearing - impaired communities due to a lack of familiarity wi th the means of communication of each. This research attempts to bridge this distance by creating Arabic Sign Language (ArSL) datasets, which there is a lack of, image processing , selecting a feature extraction method and designing a machine learning class ification system capable of translating Arabic Sign Language (ArSL) to text. The system was implemented on MATLAB 2014a using an Artificial Neural Network that was trained on the morphological features of 100 samples to classify input images into 3 alphabe t classes that achieved an accuracy of 73.3%.

11. A METHOD FOR EXTRACTING AFFINE INVARIANT LOCAL FEATURES USING A METRIC TENSOR

Abstract: This paper proposes a method for extracting local features which is invariant under affine transformations. This method is based on the metric tensor . Using the met ric tensor, an affine invariant smoothing filter and a set of affine invariant differential operator s are construc ted. 12. USING BIPARTITE GRAPHS PROJECTED ONTO TWO DIMENSIONS FOR TEXT CLASSIFICATION

The purpose of this work is to present a novel text classifier that can be used for text - mining and interactive information access. The mode l that is demonstrated can be used to extract hierarchical relations between topics , as well as to conducted unsupervised clustering of documents and keywords. 13. REMOTE CONTROLLER ON SMARTPHONE FOR SHORTER WAITING TIME IN ELEVATOR SYSTEM

Abstract: In a large - scale high - rise building, elevator systems with multiple elevator cars supports m obility of users. Since current elevator controller system s o nly achieve user’s requirements as the existence of requests of mobility directions in each flo or, it is difficult for multiple elevator cars to stop at the same floor simultaneously even if there exist unevenly distributed requests in some specific flo ors. This results in low service ratio causing numbers of bumped passengers and in longer waiting time duration of the users. 14. VOLTAGE-MODE ALL-PASS BIQUADS USING CURRENT DIFFERENCING BUFFERED AMPLIFIERS (CDBA)

Abstract: In this paper, three current differencing buffered amplifier (CDBA) - based voltage - mode (VM) biquadratic all - pass filters (APFs) are presented. These circuits contain one or two CDBAs as active elements. The circuits are analyzed theoretically, an d results of their circuit simulations are presented. Abstract: The main goal of this study is to improve the voltage at Khartoum Local Market 110kV substation as one of substations of Khartoum Ring Network. Static VA R Compensator has been used to contribute to the improvement of the decline in the voltage at the substation resulting from the different operating conditions. ETAP software has been used in the analysis to determine the effectiveness of this technique in the improvement process. The results obtained were satisfactory and as expected.

Abstract: his paper deals with the satellite link budget in 3 different aspects which are: How to determine the coverage in to percentage form by using Pythagoras theorem in addition of some assumptions, second aspect is the required power toward and from the satellite, and last aspect is how to eliminate the earth station performance in percentage form by using Eb/No. The research takes 25 locations in the Sudan, gives for each location the specific code. The overall output the OBO ,IBO ,distance ,OFD,C/N,C/Tu ,C/Tco - ch ,C /Ty , Lu ,Ld all are required in order to achieve the 3 aspects. Abstract: The paper presents the modes of operation of Telerescuer robot controlled by an innovative human - machine interface. The robot is designed to perform inspections during the rescue actions in subterra nean areas of the coal mines affected by catastrophic events. In order to make navigation of the robot as simple as possible, the immersive human - machine interface has been developed, whose purpose is not only to navigate, but also to supervise semi - autono mous mission of the robot. 23. NEAR INFRARED REPRODUCTION OF IMAGES WHOSE ORIGINALS HAVE DUAL CONTENT

Abstract: The painter Nada Žiljak has created two paintings at the same place. The other painting is observed by infrared camera. The oil paintings are done with colorants which absorbe infrared light. The results of new graphical reproductions which include visual and near infrared condi tion of the original visual act are presented in this paper. The paintig has been reproduced with the print colorants cyan, magenta, yellow and black on the linen. Digital ink - jet print contains double picture for visual and infrared spectrum. The reproduc tion of artistic painting has the same quality of visualization as it has its original, although these two pictures are dyed with different procedures, different colorants, different pigments, different techniques and different purposes. The spectral ana lysis of the light absorption in two areas are acomplished for all colorants: visual and infrared in the range of 400 to 1000 nm. 24. MODELIZATION OF USER SATISFACTION IN IS RESEARCH

Abstract: One among the major concerns of managers since the emergence of Information Technology (IT) in organizations in the sixties is to prove that the IT /IS (information system) investments have a positive impact on the organization. Over time, the IS’s evaluation dominated the research in IS field. Several variables of IS measurement, called IS success measurements, like user satisfaction, system use, organizational performance and u ser decisional performance [41 ] were developed and considered as substitute for the effectiveness of IS (IS e ffectiveness is measured against the achievement of objectives according to Hamilton and Chervany [ 25 ]). User satisfaction is the most use d in measuring the success of IS and their impact on the organization. This article focuses on the "user satisfaction". Through the analysis of a set of selected articles from the literature about the evaluation of IS , w e have developed a class model (using UML formalism) about the construct user satisfaction.

Abstract: The proposed work exploits acoustic cues at various levels and incorporates them in the present (Spoken Term Detection) STD frame work. Recently proposed new syllabification method [1] for speech signal is being used for STD . In STD, a query and reference speech signals are provided, these speech signals are syllabified using the new syllabification method and features like Mel - frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC), posterior grams are extracted. These features are then matc hed using template based match techniques like dynamic time warping (DTW) at syllable level instead of regular frame level. This essentially reduces the unwanted matching done at frame level.

26. A BINOMIALLY COEFFICIENT CLASS OF INTEGRATORS

Abstract: A portable class of integrators whose numerator and denominator coefficients are Binomial in form is derived. The derivation is based on a known stability function of the arbitrary [L, M] rational integrator, The stability function of this rational integrator is obtained and through which w e obtain our initial Binomially Coefficient integrators. The research went further to prove the convergence and consistency of the derived integrators. Experiments carried out show good encouragement in the applications.

27. HUMAN IDENTIFICATION USING MULTI-REGION PCA FOR IRIS RECOGNITION

Abstract: Biometric identification is a constantly growing fie l d. Many physiological characteristics may be used for r eliable identification. T he most secure among them uses the iris pattern , because it is unique and stable from eye to eye and from person to person. The approach presented in this article guides through every step of iris - based human identification system from eye localization to iris extraction and identification using PCA features. The novelty of this paper consists of the application of PCA on multi - region iris images. The PCA identification based on multiple regions of interest (ROI) allows higher ident ification accuracy while extract ing muc h fewer features.

28. STUDY OF THE MOBILE NUMBER PORTABILITY (MNP) IMPLEMENTATIONS IN BELARUS AND GEORGIA

Abstract: Mobile number portability (MNP) is considered an important condition for ensuring full competition in the electronic communications sector, a llowing mobile subscribers to change their service providers any time without altering their phone numbers . Mandated in the European Union since 2003, experience of MNP implementations across the EU member states has been largely successful. On the contrar y, introduction of MNP in the post - Soviet region has been rather slow, where Belarus and Georgia pioneered with implementation. After the collection of primary data among relevant stakeholder groups and the subsequent analysis thereof, the given paper prov ides k ey revealed findings and lessons learnt from MNP implementations in those two countries, as well as an overview of any impact the MNP service availability has had on the Georgian and Belarusian electronic communications markets.

Abstract: This paper focuses on determining the socio - economic and demographic factors that predict credit accessibility from financial institutions (banks) in South Africa. Data was obtained through, questionnaire survey from 179 small and medium enterprises (SM C Es) who were conveniently sampled. The questionnaire was developed from literature review. The socio - economic and demographic determinants predicting credit accessibility were identified. The data was analysed using statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) ve rsion 22. The results indicate that credit was predicted by age group, current position in the organization, tax number and location. The gender of the respondent, type of business ownership a nd collateral (security) . This study informs SM C Es owners and man agers to provide, their age, current position in the organization when applying for credit. Furthermore, they should provide the tax number and the location of the business in orde r for them to obtain credit
