1. PRICING MODEL FOR CLOUD COMPUTING SERVICES FOR RESEARCH APPLICATIONS

Abstract: Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Latvia continues its enduring development of research e - infrastructure. Currently IMCS UL maintains Scientific Cloud computing facility, provides collocation, hosting and virtualization services. As w ell it operates as a node for online corr elation data streaming services from Irbene radio telescope in real time, HPC resources’ disposal for computing tasks, usage of big data extracted from data storage for modeling and al so for graphic data processing. In this article a uthors represent pricin g policy realized in IMCS UL for cloud computing services. We define the groups of users and prices for services for each user group. Users are split in g r oups as follows: business companies (defined as Service Price List), research institutions (defined a s Service Fee List) and research project partners (defined as Service Coast List). In price list fixed price level can be evaluated with simple cloud computing pricing Model.

2. ANALYZING THE ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES OF NATORE’S GURUDASPUR REGION DUE TO CONVERSION OF AGRICULTURAL LANDS TO AQUACULTURE PONDS

Abstract: For the district of Natore, in the last decade or so, aquaculture has played a significant role in improving the locals’ socio - economic status. It is only in recent years that the negative impacts of unplanned pond - cutting have become profound and are introducing severe environmental and economic issues. This report encompasses the present status of Gurudaspur, Natore’s vil lages of Nazirpur and Chapila unions where fish - farmers and agricultural farmers alike are facing problems such as water - logging, loss of agricultural land for crops and fruit trees and economic losses. For this study, ArcGIS is used to analyze the images to show the land transformation from 2001 to 2016; through participatory rural approach (PRA) and using investigations by the authors, it was validated that many agricultural lands were converted to fish ponds as the croplands could not stand the amounts o f water that inundated the lands. 3. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF AMPUTATION AND THE TYPE OF PHANTOM IMPRESSIONS.

Abstract: Phantom impressions are divided into phantom sensations and phantom pain. There are many factors that affect the quality and intensity of phantom impressions. These include: preoperative pain in the affected limb, the level of amputation, the height and bilterality of amputation, surgical technique, amputation etiology, stump pain, the state of stump healing, demographic and social factors, psychosocial influences and the level of physical activity.

4. IMPACT OF LEADER S HUMILITY ON THE SUCCESS OF STRATEGIC INFORMATION SYSTEM PLANNING (SISP)

Abstract: This study depicts that leader s Humility and Strategic Information System Planning Success are closely rela ted as Resource Based Theory asserts that a project is successful when it has a competitive advantage over others . Level 5 Leadership maintain s that competitive advantage is attained through Humility and Professional Will. Thus a leader having high humili ty should get more strategic success. The relation ship is empirically tested through a sample of managers in project based IT organizations . Results show that Leader�s Humility is directly and positively increasing Strategic Information System Planning Suc cess.

5. THE QUANTILES ESTIMATION IN THE MONSOON SEASON OF SEVEN UNGUAGED SITES OF PUNJAB PAKISTAN WITH REGIONAL RAINFALL FREQUENCY ANALYSIS

Abstract: Pakistan is located between the latitude 25 o and 36 o with strong spells o f monsoon rains showering from June to September with somewhat variation according to location. Heavy rains in monsoon season make dams, rivers and lakes overflow causing destructive floods. The scenario provoked the study on the estimation of regional rai nfall quantiles of Annual Maximum Monsoon Rainfall Totals (AM MRT) of the seven unguaged sites of the Punjab province in Pakistan. The estimates are obtained from L - moment based Regional Rainfall Frequency Analysis (RRFA). The monsoon data series of the sev en sites were found random and identically distributed w ith no serial correlation. These results were the output of the run test, lag - 1 correlation and Mann - Whitney U test. The L - m oment based discordancy measure exposed no site discordant in the group of s even . 6. SIMULATION OF BUCKLING AND DEAD LOCK STATES OF DRILL STRINGS IN CURVILINEAR BORE-HOLES

Abstract: This paper deals with simulating the regimes of drilling deep curvilinear bore - holes with presc ribed geometrical imperfections of their axial lines. The interpolation techniques (spline approximation) are used for the well shape representation. On the basis of the theory of curvilinear flexible elastic rods, the 3D “stiff - string” drag and torque mod el of the drill string bending is elaborated. With its application it is shown that the contact and friction forces generated by interaction of the drill string with the bore - hole surface can be calculated and regulate, after their analysis, the regimes of buckling and dead lock states of drill strings in the curvilinear cavities of the bore - holes are simulated.

Abstract: The development of a society is closely related to the quantity and quality of its infrastructures. Investment in infrastructures such as transport, energy, telecommunications are vital to the development of a country. It is estimated that global demand for mobility and transport infrastructure for 2050 will be raised by 60% compared to 2010 data [1] . This means a very significant increase in the number of kilometers of roads and railways to build in the coming years. The report “ Green House Gases EU Tran sport Emissions: Routes to 2050 ” [2] indicated that 28% of total emissions associated with rail transport are due to infrastructure. 8. ECONOMIC VALUATION OF THE SUNDARBANS RESERVED FOREST OF BANGLADESH: THE ZONAL TRAVEL COST METHOD

Abstract: Sundarbans Reserved Forest hosts the largest single block of tidal, salt - water mangrove forest on Earth with a diverse collection of flora and fauna, including many endangered ones. It is thus, (and also generally) necessary to find an appropriate estimation of the recreational benefits of this world - renowned region as a tool for the conservation of biodiversity, as well as the devel opm ent of ecotourism, there. This report has been designed to do just that (estimate the recreational value) and to exhibit a relationship between the Sundarbans Reserved Forest (SRF) in Bangladesh and travel cost, using the responses of the visitors to th is region from all over Bangladesh. A zonal approach of the travel cost technique has been u sed here and the sample was 300 visitors of SRF over a period of seven days.
