1. SYSTEM DESIGN OF MULTI LINGUAL MOBILE RAPID SENTENCE READING

Abstract: This paper presents a system design of multi-lingual enhanced Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) system MulLinR, which supports languages written continuously (non-spaced) and spelled with nonalphabetic characters. Our prototype accepts Chinese and Japanese for the time being. We express the system design of our prototype. One of the features of the system is that it is fully written in JavaScript, and so it is a standalone application without a network connection. For the separation of words, we introduce TinySegmenter which use feature quantity of characters and their combinations as N-gram, character kinds such as Kanji, Kana, etc. We discuss the experiment with a variety of presentation time intervals depending on the word length.

2. JOINT DISTANCE AND AZIMUTH ANGLE ESTIMATION USING AN UWB-BASED INDOOR LOCALIZATION SYSTEM

Abstract: This paper presents a ranging test conducted in a standard indoor environment using an ultra-wideband (UWB) radar system. The position is determined by jointly estimating the distance using the Energy Detection (ED) method, and the Azimuth angle using Phase Correlation (PC) method. The obtained results show that this UWB ranging system can improve the angular resolution compared to traditional Indoor Localization Systems (ILSs).

3. INTELLIGENT TECHNIQUE OF CONSTRUCTING EXACT STATISTICAL TOLERANCE LIMITS TO PREDICT FUTURE OUTCOMES UNDER PARAMETRIC UNCERTAINTY FOR PROGNOSTICS AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT OF COMPLEX SYSTEMS

Abstract: The problem of constructing one-sided exact statistical tolerance limits on the kth order statistic in a future sample of m observations from a distribution of log-location-scale family on the basis of an observed sample from the same distribution is considered. The new technique proposed here emphasizes pivotal quantities relevant for obtaining tolerance factors and is applicable whenever the statistical problem is invariant under a group of transformations that acts transitively on the parameter space. The exact tolerance limits on order statistics associated with sampling from underlying distributions can be found easily and quickly making tables, simulation, Monte Carlo estimated percentiles, special computer programs, and approximation unnecessary. 5. SIMULATION OF ELECTRON BEAM WELDING OF 316L STAINLESS STEEL THIN PLATES

Abstract: In this paper the simulation of electron beam welding of thin 316L stainless steel thin plates by a moving linear heat source is considered. Regression models for the molten pool geometry characteristics, depending on the electron beam power and the welding velocity are estimated. The thermal histories and the cooling rates defining the microstructure and the distribution of the mechanical properties of the welded samples are also estimated. The influences of the initial temperature T0 and the welded sample thickness on the temperature distributions are demonstrated.

6. SOFTWARE FOR ELECTRON BEAM MELTING SIMULATION

Abstract: In this paper the developed software for simulation of the temperature distributions in the cast ingots at electron beam drip melting for different materials is presented. The influence of the change of the process parameters electron beam power, casting velocity and the beam radius on the temperature distributions in the cast ingot and the parameters of the molten pool can be investigated. Quasi steady-state two-dimensional heat model is implemented for the simulation of the temperature distribution in the cast ingots from different materials.

7. ETHICAL CONDUCT OF E-LEARNERS AND E-INSTRUCTORS IN BLENDED LEARNING APPROACH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF JORDAN

Abstract: Effective teaching-learning participation in e-Learning necessitates both students and instructors to strike a balance of respect and tolerance with one another. In this perspective, participation in e-Learning does not differ much from participation in a conventional face-to-face classroom. In fact, the former requires a broader set of rules and policies to establish proper ethical conduct to avoid, if not resolve, actions that may be deemed inappropriate in e-Learning. In light of this awareness, this paper explores the actions of ethical conduct of e-Learners and e-Instructors in Blended Learning Approach, an e-Learning platform/portal at The University of Jordan. Discussion is further explored with some thoughts on current and future challenges facing the ethical perspectives of e-Learning within the Jordanian context.

8. DEEP REINFORCEMENT LEARNING BASED TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM

Abstract: Existing traffic light controls are ineffective and causes a handful of problems such as congestion and pollution. The purpose of this study is to investigate the application of deep reinforcement learning on traffic control systems to minimize congestion at a targeted traffic intersection. The traffic data was extracted, analyzed and simulated based on the Poisson Distribution, using a simulator, Simulation of Urban Mobility (SUMO). In this research, we proposed a deep reinforcement learning model, which combines the capabilities of convolutional neural networks and reinforcement learning to control the traffic lights to increase the effectiveness of the traffic control system. 9. COLLISION AVOIDANCE AND DYNAMIC SLOT SCHEDULING IN MULTI-HOP TDMA BASED AD-HOC NETWORKS USING GENETIC ALGORITHM

Abstract: ollision free dynamic slot scheduling in ad-hoc networks is NP complete problem. In most of the distributed networks, scheduling is performed by cluster heads or relay nodes. A sophisticated method is needed for nodes to perform dynamic schedule on their own and update the state of resources. Recently, neural network and few heuristic approaches are used to solve the problem. In this paper, we propose a heuristic based method on the idea of generating optimal solutions. The arithmetic crossover and cyclic permutation use random generated slot vectors of neighbors, broadcast during the scheduling period to create an initial population. 10. TIME SERIES MODEL FOR PREDICTING GROUND-LEVEL OZONE

Abstract: This research is a comparison for forecasting methods for ground-level ozone using ARIMA (Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average) and GARCH (Generalized Autoregressive Conditionally Heteroskedastic) for the forecasting of four places in Thailand, from January 2013 to August 2018. The results obtained compare between the two models above mentioned in order to find the most accurate one, considering the lowest RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) and the lowest MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error). According to the experiment, the most suitable method is GARCH which is good for the 1-2 hours early forecasting.

13. SMART CUSTOMER CARE USING AI-BASED APPROACH

In this study, the researcher has developed a simulation program Chatbot to assist the authorities on the fishing license, by collecting some samples and information from a helpdesk center. The researcher then used this data to analyze and design responding format of the program, which was developed by Dialogflow and Python.
